Car shuts off when I push the clutch in
I currently own a 2008 Honda Accord EX-L V6 6 speed with a J35z3 engine. I noticed my engine was slightly hesitating so I used lucas injector cleaner and within the same tank of gas, the car started to shut off (could be a coincidence). When I'm driving down the road around 4k RPM's and I push the clutch in to neutral, my idle will drop to around 500 and lug for a second. Afterwards, the RPM will shoot back up to 1200 and then idle to around 900. A few times a day, the rpm will drop to zero and the car will shut off indicating loss of power. Also, I was sitting in my car idling for about 15-20 minutes and my car randomly shut off while in stand still. My throw out bearing is making noises but I don't believe the clutch is the culprit. Clutch is not slipping and no chattering in the clutch pedal. I cleaned the engine air filter, throttle body, checked for vacuum leaks and I took my vehicle to the Honda dealership for a full inspection as I do not have an engine light. I believed it could be clogged injectors but they said they checked fuel and air components (injectors, spark plugs, throttle body, ect..) and they found nothing wrong with the vehicle and immediately said it was the clutch. I believe its gotta be something fuel or air related, maybe a sensor (no engine light) or even PCM is going out. If anyone has any knowledge on this problem it would be greatly appreciated.
I want to add that the car seems to
only shuts off if I have my car in a higher rpm and put the shifter into neutral. If I down shift all the way to second gear and wait until the rpm gets to around 1500-1000 and put into neutral, the problem does not occur. Also, yesterday while at a red light, car lugged down and rpm dropped randomly and them went back up to normal rpm. Did not shut off
