Check engine light codes po715 and po137
 

Okay i got my car checked today cause the engine light has been on. I have 2 codes, one is po137 O2 sensor which i'm guessing is the one on the bottom, not the one on the manifold. Said bank 1 sensor 2. The other is po715 that said input/turbine sensor. My speedo is working fine, transmission is not really acting up or anything. Will my O2 sensor throw that code or is that an actual problem? Thanks

I would get the new O2 sensor, install it, reset the codes/ecu, and see if the CEL comes back for the second reading.

How many miles does your Accord have? If you are under 110,000 miles (possibly 150k) Honda HAS to fix any emission related problems on the 97 Accord for free due to an EPA lawsuit. Which means they'll give you and install an OEM sensor for free. If it turns out to be the o2 sensor in your manifold I will pay you a few bucks + shipping for you to send the bad one to me assuming its oem.

If you are under 150k you get a free tune up.

I wish it had that few miles on it. Its got 186000 on it. Yeah i googled that transmission code and they said sometimes it'll pop up with the O2 sensor. Is the po137 the O2 on the manifold or before the cat?

Well I went to the dealer forever ago and the guy said he wasnt sure how long the warranty was for on the emission stuff. So if its based on years, which I think is like 14 (maybe) you could still be good! I would give them a call!

As far as the code, I think there is a list on the site so I would just use the search for "cel codes" of the code number you got.

Well i was also told it may not be the sensor. That it may be the cat. Guess since i'm at it ill look for a high flow cat. Question is the sensor on the cat or after it? I'm really not sure since i havent crawled underneath it to look.

It is in the cat itself. If you change your own oil look @ the top of the cat when you are under there and you'll see the wires for it.

thanks. yeah its got me kind of ill trying to figure out if its the cat or if its in the sensor. guess ill go with the high flow cat and if that doesnt work ill just replace the sensor. stupid emissions ****. I wouldnt worry about it if i didnt have emissions test. Thanks 19Accord97
