Default Chip

Does anyone know of a chip for my car (see sig) that would be equivalent to a Proceed or "Juice Box" chip for a BMW 335i? and if you dont know what im talking about with the BMW, i just mean a chip that increases torque and horsepower by alot. btw, im not sure if this post is under the right topic, but i didnt know where else to put it.

No such animal for Honda. If you want the ECU modified it must be removed, sent off, modified, returned, and installed. Jones Electronics (JET)is the only one I'm aware of that does it.

yeah, i heard about JET but i havent heard of any actual feedback from a buyer. seems kinda shady. i wish there was a JB chip for Honda. my friend has a 335i and hes getting the newest JB chip called the JB3 and it literally is a 20 minute install tops and puts him up to 370+ whp and wtq (his only other engine mod is a dual intake). he has a little under 300 whp and wtq stock. not to mention this chip is only $150 or something close to that. if he gets an exhaust, downpipes, and an intercooler, he'll be at 400 whp. insanee. You described it perfectly Texas, an "animal".

If you believe a $150 "chip" will bump an engine seventy horsepower I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'll sell you.

It's more or less a Radio Shack resistor that tricks the ECU into supplying more fuel into the air-fuel ratio mixture leading to more combustion. Ends up being more damaging than good. Hondata is the way to go...as well as an OBD1 conversion.

If you want to upgrade a 335i, I'd go with DINAN Stage 3 ...... actually, I'd most likely go with DINAN for all BMW's!!!

Phearable.net will chip an ECU for you and moates.net has things to chip it yourself. Chipping an OBDII AND an A/T is a pain. I chipped a P28 ECU and used a Moates.net Burn1 EEPROM burner on my 5th gen. Unless you are going nitrous, forced induction, or some extreme NA setup, I'd stay away from ECU tuning. I just gave myself a headache talking about it.
