considering head swap...
I want to have vtec on my engine without doing a full engine swap.. I know you can bolt a vtec head up to a non vtec block... but for a 90-93 accord, what vtec head shall I use.. I dont want super high compression, simply because I am going to boost it...
so what vtec head should I get? and are the exhaust ports the same? cause I want to bolt my 90-93 turbo manifold to the new vtec head.. |
RE: considering head swap...
If you want vtec you are going to need a new ecu also. I am not sure which vtec head would match to that engine. Maybe an f22b1?

RE: considering head swap...
The most direct bolt-up would be the H23 head. All F and H engines (with the exception of the F20 from an S2000) are interchangable with varying degrees of modification. BUt the H23 is the most direct fit on the F22A if you just want DOHC. The H22A head also bolts up very nicely.

RE: considering head swap...
i have a f23 on my 02 accord so i would be able to put up a h22 or h23 head on it? and whay would it do as of power if any?
|
RE: considering head swap...
the H head is better for NA, the F head is better for boost or nitrous

RE: considering head swap...
oh ok thanks. would i have to replace my headers and intake as well? or would they fit
|
RE: considering head swap...
I imagine you would have to replace. The intake might fit.
