Diesel engine swap

I was wondering if anyone has heard of or has made and diesel engine swap into agasoline accord. I have a 1987 Accord Lxi and heard that 87 Toyota Camry would interchange? Anyone have any advise much appreciated.

RE: Diesel engine swap

I've heard of it being done but I don't know anything about the particulars of it.... Sounds like an interesting swap though!

RE: Diesel engine swap

put a b20 in that thing. jdms came i believe w/ b20a or something like that. i have an old "honda tuning" issue that had all these oddball swaps, one of which was def a b20xx direct swap into the old accord. ill look for the mag, and post which issue it was for youfor reference...............

1st off we don't have that engine in the states. I'm sure you can get it imported but at what cost? I think you will have a huge issue with wiring and engine/trans mounts. Also I don't know a SINGLE thing about diesel set up's at all. But what about the fuel system at that point? I'm sure there will have to be some mod-ing there. Then you have to look at axles. With the amount of tq. that engine puts out I'd bet money they would need mod-ing also. I personally think this will be a extremely expensive swap along with bunch of custom work. IF you have the money I say go for it. It would be a neat swap.
