Does the H23 TB/IM fit the f22 engines?
 

...without modification? Granted the ecu would need tuned since the h23 TB/IM is larger, but physically, will it fit?

it bolts right up. No need for the tune your stock ecu will run just fine

yes and no it depends on the f22 were talking about here. i believe he has an f22bx since a 1994 accord. in that case it will bolt on but the water passage on the head doesnt mate to anything on the manifold. you will leak water! also the ports are way off on the f22bx to h23/f22ax. the f22bx has tear drop ports and the f22ax/h23 are large ovals.

to do this the right way, you need an f22a1/4/6 head, h23 thermostat housing, f22a1 water pipe, if you have the f22b1 vtec, you need the f22a1/4/6 non-vtec timing belt. i will explain more if you need an idea of what to get and what to do.

no need unless you are adding big power adders like a cam, header, pistons, etc. it would run a little better with a tune but you can simply bolt on the manifold and run a vacuum line for the butterflies. granted it works best on the right engine and head.

yes clutch your right 5th gens have the f22bx engines...didn't even look at what year accord the OP had. I don't like f22bx engines I tend to block them out..lol

Haha/ Okay. Well, I was asking for my friend anyway. I'm still sticking with the h22 that I have yet to actually buy. lol. He's going to turbo an f22 and still if he can beat me. He's read this. Idk what his final decision is going to be. But thanks for all the info, guys.

haha stock turbo f22 will walk a h22 even with bolt ons...they can easily make 280-300hp fully stock

Though I don't have everything planned out all the way, I do hope to squeeze a minimum of 300whp from the h22 build. Still working on how I'm actually going to do that. lol. But I'm sure I can make it happen.

it will take tons of money to make 300hp from a h22. If you boost the h22 you will only see about 250hp or so. You can only push about 5psi with the h22. Now you can drop 500bucks on pistons...mahle makes pistons that will work with FRM sleeves. Other than that your looking at re-sleeving the block to boost the h22. sleeves are around a grand plus your install.

If you want to stick n/a talk to Scott at collective racing out of AZ. He built a all motor h22 pushing like 298hp something like that. He would be the one who you need to talk to. But I know there is ALOT of work involved to make thos numbers. ITB's cams pistons rods the whole nine yards but the key it to find all the right parts that work 2geather perfectly to get your power goal.
