Emergency help please...

Hi everyone,
I have a 2009 4 cylinder Accord. I think I may drop an innder fender cap inside of "a thing" (look at picture please). I am not sure what that "thing" is.
I am a dummy car driver. I wonder if it damages any part of the car if I drop it in there.
Thank you so much in advance.

I have no idea what that is cus I only know 90-93 accords just a personal preference. But it looks like to me you can open that "thingy" box and take out w/e you put into it. Maybe someone else with that year accord will chime in.

looks to be the front of the stock air intake. if you dropped it in there, its before the filter so it shouldnt get sucked in the engine. just try and get it out asap!

I was gonna say that but I didn’t wanna give out false info. I don’t know jack when it comes to new k series accords.
If that is the case and it is the part of the air box then you should be able to dig it out without much prob.

Don't worry thats the inlet to to air intake box. it shud be lyign on top of the air filter.

Thank you everyone

I dropped by Honda Services today. It is the air intake. The "engineerer" said that it should be fine if the inner fender holdings drop in there. It cannot go to the engine. The filter stops it go into the engine. It will not be burned or anything like that. Don't worry.
Thanks a lot for your help!

I don’t think it would burn more like melt...lol
