Engine Build

Hey, im looking to build an engine for fun and to learn how to do it. Does anyone have any suggestions on the kind of engine, and where to find in depth information about it? Im thinking B18 just not sure. Love to hear all input. Thanks

Well, a common swap to an accord is the H22 motor. For a (common i4) built n/a motor, that will probably end up being the most powerful. If your not really going for power and more just learning, the civic motor wouldn't be a bad idea. They don't cost too much, and civics have a pretty good sized aftermarket.

Not sure of your year accord but if it is a later model the car gets heavier and the b18 would not be worth it when you could put in the h22. If you just want to grab an engine tear it apart for fun and don't really plan to do much with it I would just get and f22, they are pretty cheap.

there is someone who is parting out a wrecked accord and I'll bet you could get that motor (f22) for an amazing price

for a 2900-3100 lbs car I would not go smaller than f22. displacement = torque and torque is what you need to move the car easily.......
