the euro r that ws never made
I have an idea that involves my 96 accord. i want to kind of make it into a 96 euro r but considering they didn't start making them until 2000 its kinda hard to find parts for it. I'm going to put a lip kit on it and some of JDM's headlights and taillights. Then I want to put a frankenstein k engine in it, and then, this is the part I was curious about, I was wanting it to be AWD. So my question is. Will an Acura TL AWD transmission fit a frankenstein k?

How would you make it into something it never was?
JDM = Japanese Domestic Market, not even close to Europe. A frankenstein engine is a mixture of two engines, the K family doesn't have anything related to it. That swap would easily be $6k, but likely around $10k. The TL has a J32/35 V6 engine in it, which the J-series transmission does not bolt onto a K-series engine. AWD transmission does not mean AWD car, you're forgetting the transfer case, custom chassis work to run a drive shaft down the middle of the car, trying to fit (I'm assuming 4th gen TL's with the SH-AWD system) hubs, axles, brakes onto a car 12 years older than it. By the time you were done, you'd have invested probably $40k into a car that is worth maybe $4k. |
