a/f sensor 1
hey whats going on...
so my girlfriend has a 01 accord lx 2dr... started having issues with it idling low and almost dying when it comes to a stop(stop light or sign). brought it to a local midas, cause the check engine light came on... 2 codes came up: 1166- a/f sensor 1- heater circut malfunction 1167- a/f sensor 1 heater system malfunction the part # i need is sg1195... some type of sensor... ( i wasnt there when she went.. i was working) "a/f" air to fuel?? but heater circut and system.. so i dont think its air to fuel... Someone help me out on this.... guy stated the part is gonna cost like $250 so if someone can give me some more info that would be great before i call around price matching this part |
It’s the o2 sensors that are bad. I donno how many 01 accords had tho I’m a cb7 guy. Someone else should chime in

Are you in Calif? On the ULEV engine the front oxygen sensor is a wide-band type instead of the plain ordinary cheap O2 sensor.
Sensor is up front, in the exhaust manifold. Unplug it & look for the 2 same-color (black?) wires. Measure resistance between them - should be 10 to 40 ohms. If not, get a new sensor. If OK, then you get to do some electrical troubleshooting in the car's wiring. |
