junk yards or pick n pulls will be the best bet so your not spending a arm and a leg on a head. My pick n pulls sell honda heads for like $80

you also can just swap over a a6 cam if you already have a a1 or a4 engine. Then swap the manifolds over and you have a f22a6 engine conversion. That's just another option if you didn't want to pop a head then get it resurfaced. new head gasket ect ect ect.

don't get suckered in for sohc vtec. sohc and dohc vtec are two totally different worlds. Single slammers I rather have non vtec and DOHC vice versa

i want to put k20 pistons in the f23 block and have the a6 head. im not 100% on the pistons but i buddy owns an integra with a similar engine and it makes like 190 at the wheel with just stock honda parts.

nice. Have you thought about doing something like this....
f22a6 head
f22a4 header
delta 272 regrind
h23 intake manifold
f23 block (over bore by 1mm to 87mm)
h22a pistons
h22a4 crank
h22a4 rods
you would have yourself basically a h22 block with a cammed f22a head. with all OEM parts minus the cam regrind.
