F22b head

i am new to this Honda thing... i bought an accord with an f22b and the timing belt blew. The head needs to be replaced i was thinking about putting in a h22 head to have v-tec... let me no what you guys think would it be worth it.. and how would i hook up the v tec?

An h22 head would not work with an f series block, for vtec, you could find an f22 head that already has vtec. You would need a vtec ecu for your setup and there's three wires that need ran, one from the vtec pressure switch to the ecu, one from the vtec solenoid to the ecu, and one either the solenoid or switch gets grounded to the block somewhere

I'm pretty sure it's been done, & the slang term for the result is a "G-series" engine. I guess you need the ECU & some wiring from the H22. Some people say it's easier to simply use the whole H22 engine.

It can and has been done. However its not simple or cheap. So in my opinion, no its not worth it. I don't remember all the parts you would need but it would look something like this:

H22 head
Custom wiring harness
H22 ECU
H22 timing belt
H22 crank pulley

I'm sure there is more, and I also think you might need some machine work done. For the price of all that you could just buy an H22 long block and make more power.

I think for that price you could get a normal h22 and a rwd conversion ! hahah
