i have a 96 accord ex F22B1 4cyl 5spd MT. and my valve cover says Vtec,but i was told that it is not because of the " B1". but i also read in here that there is a vtec & non vtec. How can i really tell what mine is by just looking at it externally. i'm not the original owner of this car and some guy told me that he might just replaced the valve so it would say its a vtec.

there are 2, 4 cyl engine type for 96 accord,,
f22b1---2.2 liter, SOHC V-TEC
f22b2--2.2 liter SOHC non V-TEC.
