Please don't post in the stickys unless your are adding USEFULL info.

Now on to your question. The f22b1/2 heads are crap you will want to do a head swap with a f22a1 head and work the crap out of the engine. Or you can do a h series head swap and do a g series build.

So what are your power goals? With a all motor set up don’t expect to make more than 200hp out of your f22 engine unless you have really really really deep pockets to re-engineer the engine like bisimoto did.

Now you can do a full engine swap for a h22 and have a nice platform to start with. They make 200hp (to the crank/ around 180ish to the wheels) I have seen Scott at collective racing make his all motor h22 hit 300hp but about 3-4k worth of work.

sorry i just wanted some ideas of how to build it up
but i dont really have a specific goal for power its just i want to get it going alittle more, i was thinking about an h22 swap but dont have alot of money right now but it sounded like the most sensible thing to do, but rather than swap the engine i think the head swap sounds better money wise, but 200hp sounds more than great cause if i want alot of horse power ill put it in my other car, but thanks for the ideas

if you want more power just turbo your stock engine at low boost and pull 280hp out of it reliably and call it a day...since your on a budget

from what i understand its nearly impossible to put an h22 head on an h22 block, id doo the h22 swap if i were you, but if you want good boost you need to change stock internals, depending on what shape their in, someone tell me what is the safest most reliable way to gget boost out of an f22. its a daily driver also

Lol well the most reliable way to boost your f22, is to like you said, upgrade your internals(pistons and rods and bearings)

Kinda a common sense answer.

And it's not nearly impossible to do the g22 build. You have to swap over the timing side of the h22 and fill in a coolant passage on the H head.

What makes it difficult, is if you don't research, dot your i's and cross your T's you will end up with a trash motor.

you also have to take a h22 water pump gear and press it on a f22 water pump. You have to take a h22 and f22 water pipe and cut them in half and have them welded together. Block off the 2 oil orifices on the timing belt side of the head(welding is the best method). You also need a custom head gasket (some say you can use a f23 HG. But never last long) Then wire your vtec is your car isn’t vtec already. Then need a chipped p28 or p72 and a tune is a MUST. There is no OEM ecu that will run the engine...not even the p13.

so it's not impossible...it’s very possible. Lots of ppl are running g22/23 set ups....look at my thread I started building one and then funding got low then got I got a deal on a f20b that will be soon swapped in my cb7.
