Snag the f22a6 head. It has the more aggressive camshaft. But make sure to use the a6 ecu with it.

For the Cam and valve train... should I do the Spring and retainer kit, cam gear, and 2mm intake, 1mm ex over size stainless steel valves? or the 1mm os exhaust stainless steel valve? |
if your only gonna run stock cam...then I would not worry about the valve train...also cam gears are pretty much pointless unless your set up requires advance timing. This normally comes into play with a tune.
Now my next question is....how much a "rebuild" is this gonna be? performance rebuild or just OEM rebuild. Why I ask is if your going to be adding aftermarket parts you might want to look into a chipped ECU that can get a tune. so you can take advantage of the aftermarket parts. Running a bunch of aftermarket parts on a stock tune is kinda defeating the purpose of installing the parts |
I'm going to do a performance rebuild... I wanna make the engine as fast as I can without boosting it... So the only way I could think of making it faster without a turbo is just rebuild most of the engine... I would do an engine swap but I wanna see how much power I can get out of a Non-Vtec single cam..
