RE: G23 info
and keep in mind that it changed, it went from a h23 head to a f22b dohc head which is much rarer, and the dyno is based on a prelude that i believe was gutted to weigh 2400lb's

RE: G23 info
Yeah I knew the dyno was based on a lude, but lots of build info is there. One of the mods on 6thgenaccord.com has a G23 in his 6th gen. He dynoed it at around 155whp.

RE: G23 info
daNG ..... pretty crappy peak HP ....... that doesn't tell the tale of the curve though!!!
|
RE: G23 info
still involves a crap load of dyno work and redoing the fuel map.... i would assume that they werent running a 6th ecu either? and im sure they didnt increase the compression or bore out the sleeves

RE: G23 info
that doesn't sound like such a good idea now... just 5 more HP? wtf?

RE: G23 info
Kevin ...... did you know that you can't really tell anything about an engine's performance by it's peak HP? HP is calculated, torque is real. What matters is how much torque you are making per rpm before the peak. The peak matters when you are on the track, but that's about it. The torque delivered by this build from 2000-5000 rpm's is what makes it a very good idea. This is what you use for a daily driver!
HP = (rpm*ft.lbs.)/5252 |
RE: G23 info
WOW! thank you! i didn't knew that actually... Falkore, ur the man! i knew torque was inportant as well as HP, but not that it was that important! so u think it's a good idea for me to get the H22 head? or is it the H23?
