H22 head on F22 block?

I was offered a H22 with a spun rod bearing for $300. The head on the engine is fine, so I was wondering if it would be worth it to swap out the head on my F22 for the H22.

I can personally attest to that. 200k and the head is still clean as a whistle and still silver too, not the bronze it usually turns.

Rebuild the H22 and enjoy it......for $300 I'd snatch that up now!

The guys a friend of a friend, so I'm having to wait for my friend to get in touch with him. I finally heard back the he's going to keep it until I come pull it. I'm getting the engine and tranny for $350, or I can buy the prelude for $850 and have it towed. I love my 91 lx so I think I'm just going to get the engine and trans and drop them in after I get it fixed. Anyone know the repair cost for a spun rod?

h22 is so...COMMON! a G22 would be very interesting to do. from what ive learned, the h22 head bolts up the f22 block. the only welding needed is 2 ports that dont match up. not sure which ones, still researching. Ive read that the G22 is very torqy and has low compression, which makes it great for turbo.

YES, the h22 is great. but thats been done already and its boring. I GOT AN H22 SWAP...yea nice, not exciting tho.

Try a PTuning 2az with Dezod's FE P&P head. That's what I want to do ..... then throw in a GT3076R, set it up for 18 psi and say bye bye!!!!
