RE: H22a

stock a h22a swap has 200hp and 161 lbs-ft of torque. that right there is already better than a stock f23a1 engine. the all aftermarktet parts would just make the h22a better, if they all would work....idk that.

RE: H22a

how much is the h22a

RE: H22a

How much kind of depends on how you want to do it. A lot of places sell the h22a with both manifolds, tranny, ecu, wiring harness and maybe a few other things like ac condenser etc. The more the kit includes the more expensive like everything for $2500 to $3500. You can just buy the engine and save some cash but then your are going to have to turn around and buy the things you didn't get originally, maybe hit the junkyards? For an idea of prices look up h22a on ebay.

L.E.D Neons Outside
L.E.D Neons Inside
Ground Wires

RE: H22a

I'm swapping an H22a into my 90 Accord (f22a). What youneed toget with the H22a is the tranny, ECU, wiring harness, distributer, fuel rail, andintake manifold. I MAY have missed an item or two (someone correct me if I did), but you do not need the shift linkage (if going from 5spd-5spd), AC, alternator, or power steering pump.
Mine isn't done, but my buddy swapped out a turbo Jspec k22 (i think) for a turbo H22a in his civic, and this is what he told me when I asked about doing my swap.
Also, I believe the mounts will line up, so no welding should be required.
What I did was look for a cosmetically crappy 93 Prelude VTEC (dont know the exact model of the car). They have H22a's in them, and if the car is a piece of crap, but mechanically is fine, then you can buy the car for cheap and pull out whatyou need.
