H22A specs?

I've been reading around and learned that many people are swapping their engines for the H22A for their Accord, so maybe later on I'll do that. Before I do swap an engine, could you guys tell me about the H22A engine? Could you give me some specs such as horsepower and how well it will fit in a 97 Accord LX? I noticed that many of the transmissions are manual. Can I get them in automatic (or converted to automatic) too? I read that the H22A was used in Japanese versions of the 94-97 Accord. Oh, and which H22A engine is the one that's pushing 220 HP? Thanks.

RE: H22A specs?

It's a straight drop into the 5thgen accords (94-97) you just use a 4thgen prelude driver's side mount in place of your stock one. All H/F engine and transmissions are interchangeable. The Type-S is the one pushing 220hp at the crank, engine code H22a7.

Looks like he ^answered your question pretty well. I have seen lots of the auctions on eBay that will sell you an auto tranny with an H22 if you want one. Be careful on eBay though. If you decide to buy on there, make sure you buy from a seller that has a lot of positive feedback.
