Default H22A Type R

Put the prelude h22a engine to the type r h22a engine. For power...we all know type r has 20 hp more but about 8 lbs less. Im now seriously looking into these two engines. I plan on shortly after purchasing and swaping the engine to buy a new header(seeing how my new one wont fit the new engine...) and also gettin new cams, gears, timebelt, and throttlebody on the engine. I also plan on gettin a clutch and flywheel. Which of the two engines would be more worth getting. The type is is a lil more obviously. Im sure the weight is only a lil more on the type r. Please anyone who knows a lot about these engines be insightful and tell me all you know. Thanks

I havn't really heard much about the type R, but I've heard a lot of good things about the prelude H22, I just bought one for my 94 accord, I know there's a lot of H22's on ebay pretty good prices, I picked mine up for $1000 complete swap, but I really don't know much about the type R, just have heard good things about the prelude H22 so I went for it.

prelude has no type R, they have type S...type R h22a is i believe the euro R accord...220hp, same as type S motor, 220hp...euro R i believe is h22a7 and type S is juss h22a....wit all the mods u gonna put in, why dun u juss get the regular h22a, then change the to type S piston, tb, camshafts and gears, and other stuff like u said...unless u can find the h22a7 same price as the h22a, then go for the h22a7

H22a7 (Euro-R) cost as much as getting a h22a1/4 purchased and installed, but the 6-speed LSD tranny that comes w/ it probably makes up for alot.
