As you've probably already noticed, all the CAI and Headers did for you was to make more noise. If you want a meaningful bump in power, think forced induction (i.e. Turbocharging or Supercharging). Oh, one more thing, think MONEY too.

Go with the basic. Open up the exhaust up 2 1/4inch . You dont need a loud muffler just better flow cold intake and headers does help. but we dont notice it much sense it is not big gain. but you go with a vtec head also i am sure you can find that info here. If not go cheap a spray nos this subject has been touched in any car forum sense the 90's. Its more about of how much you want to spend.

Would it just be the head that I would need to change? No new piston or cam gears n all that stuff. I really want to get some descent hp befor superchargeing it.

A vtec head is going to also require the ECU and some wire mods. Still not really going to do much.

What are your goals that are within your budget?
