J30a1 to a J32?
 

My wife is keeping her 2000 ex v6 coupe for sentimental reasons (don't ask, long story), and I'm thinking about an engine swap in another 100000 (maybe sooner). Please tell me if this is a stupid question...

Would a J32a1 fit in place of the J30a1? I understand that one is a 3.2 and one is a 3.0, but I didn't know if the engine mounts would be the same. I can do metal fabrication if I need to make new mounts, just not sure if this is even worth my time. I've tried talking trade while it's still worth something, but that was not an option.

You're transmission will likely fail long before the engine. And yes, a J32 swap can be done, along with a 6spd transmission from the Acura CL-S if you're inclined to replace the tranny at the same time.

you can use either a CLS/TLS or CL/TL engine.....i would swap the entire driveline imho
