K series swap into 6th gen
Whats up everyone. New to the forum and have a question. It has probably been discussed but how hard would it be to swap a k series motor into a 6th gen with an I4? I know a h series swap would be easiest but that swap is played out. I also want to swap in a 6spd from the RSX-S. Ive heard of the TL 6spd swap into the v6 which I will be doing to my other accord but I want the room for a turbo. Any ideas? Ive seen pics of the swap into a 5th gen but not into a 6th. I also heard that the euro spec accords come stock with the k24? How true is this info?

RE: K series swap into 6th gen
If they can swap a k24 motor into an FIT then I am pretty sure that the same motor will fit into the accord. It is just a matter of finding someone to make all the motor mounts, tranny mounts, etc......let alone buying the motor and computer and all that good stuff, it is going to cost a pretty penny, but it definitely will be worth it in the long run........

I would wait a bit....k engines are starting to attract attention. you'll probably get better/more options as time passes by.

RE: K series swap into 6th gen
engine is turned around compared to the F series so that will mean using V6 accessories if you want it to work with minimal trouble. Getting the 5spd auto to work will be a pita

RE: K series swap into 6th gen
He would have to use a k-series transmission. 5 or 6 speed manuals are readily available. A buddy of mine did the swap into his civic.

I appreciate the info. I may just turbo the f23. I am not looking to race it just make it a blast to drive.
