K20 vs H22
I am just curious, and not 100% I am remembering correctly, but I once saw motor mounts for the 5th gen Accords for the k20 engine (im pretty sure). Now they are not listed on there anymore:(
Anyways, I am just curious how the two would compare. If the K20 would need more tuning or what. I am sure it would eat the H22. And is the K20 better for turboing, since the h22 has weak sleeves? |

If I had tons of money I would do this instead of an H22. |
RE: K20 vs H22
yes hasport makes mounts for the k20 into the 5th gen accord.
the k20 is FAR better for turboing than the h22, it is also a really good all motor application. however you are going to spend way more money swapping a k20 in than a h22 seeing the motor itself is more expensive, the mounts are like $700, there is way more custom work that has to go into it. |
RE: K20 vs H22
What all custom things have to be done? Mainly mechanical, or technical like wiring/OBD stuff?

The K20 spins the opposite way which means that you have to swap the whole engine bay left to right.

RE: K20 vs H22
Well, if you want to just swap the engine and not the tranny.

RE: K20 vs H22
It still doesn't involve what you described.
