I am planning on getting a cold air intake and i am not sure if i should get it because i am afraid of getting hydrolock. Can anyone, with experience of with a cold air intake, tell me if i should get it or go with the short ram. thanks

yeah the search will help BUT I have an intake, and I had an run in with a puddle. Honestly it did nothing but it made me think. If you are gonna get a CAI, it would be very wise to get one with multiple pipes, meaning an attatchment for your filter at the very end of the intake for real cold air times, like at the track or the summer. And during the rain season, take off one of the pipes and attach the filter inside the engine bay. Know what I mean? All you're doing is shortening the length of the intake but saving your arse in puddles :D

Take a look at this:

To give you a visual, you would take off the 2nd half of the pipe and attatch the filter right after the logo. Make sense?

Just buy a bypass valve no worries of hydro locking.
