need help on finding an engine

hey im trying to find a new engine for my 2000 accord sedan lx 4 cyl. I heard that a h22 engine was good and will fit with my car. Then i heard that it is found in a 96-00 prelude but im not sure if that is true or not. So can i get some help or suggestions on an engine plz

Hopefully this chart copies ok.... here's the engine and how it was rated in different vehicles, it should fit just fine in your car but you may need a different tranny as well.... are you planning on doing a full swap or do you just want to replace a bad motor with a good one and hoping for an easy HP upgrade?

yeah im trying to put in a better engine so im looking at a full engine swap for my car. Should i change my tranny to manual now? My accord is auto right now and i was planning on doing it later but i wouldnt mind doing it now if thats a better way to go.

If you are going to make the swap from auto to manual anyway, it would definitely be easier now, since you will have the engine out anyway. That way you only have to rip it all apart once.
