New to Forum
Hi Guys and Gals,
Just signed up today. My wife has a 97 SE and Daughter has an 04. I'm thinking about making it a triple play. Could use some help. My wife's car for the longest time held a great temp never rising above the midway line. She has her radiator crack a little while back and the put a new one in along with a new thermostat. Now when sitting in traffic the temp climbs to just before the top line before the fans kick on. My question is: is there a Fan Temp Switch that I could change so the fans come on at a lower temp? Thanks, |
RE: New to Forum
yes and it sounds like the one that you have is bad, rather than trying to lower the engagement temp. It could also be the water temperature sensor.

RE: New to Forum
yeah was gunna say, have you done the obvious and checked the fluid levels?
just because there's fluid in the reservoir doesn't necessarily mean there's enough in the system |
RE: New to Forum
When they changed the radiator I also had them do a complete flush. Where is the temp sensor located?

AND, This sensor, Can you get one that comes on at 160 or 180 degrees?
