newb lookin for opinion on a swap

I'm hoping to get some input on doing a engine swap. I've been looking at either a JDM f22b or a h22. When I was talking to my mechanic a few days ago, he said he had a Honda Spoon engine for sale. And that it would drop right in. It comes with everything needed for the swap. He was asking $2300. I've never heard of a "Spoon" engine before, and I'm. Trying to avoid spending hours on the net researching them. Any input on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

You are going to have to go back and get more details from him.

Engine swaps/upgrades really depend on a few things....what is the end result you are looking for and what amount of money you have to "spend".

a "spoon" engine? Is his name Hector and does he run mishimoto tires? Because a couple of SR20s will pull a premium a week before race wars. It sounds like he has been watching too much fast and furious.

Spoon is a tuning company in japan, but I'm sure he doesn't have one of their engines, and if he did it would more than likely be a B series which would not drop right into your car.

There is a huge difference between the F22B and the H22, the H22 will make a ton more power.

Have you considered turboing your F22? It will make a lot more power than either of those engines and will cost relatively the same.
