Now what?

So I drive an 03 accord with the k24a4 and limitless possibilities as to what to do next. At first I wanted a k20a2 head for my car and build up the motor for one really nice NA motor running at least 300 whp but then I heard that there's a problem with valve clearance and I would destroy my motor unless I get pistons designed specifically for a k20 swap. Next I decided to supercharge by buying the RSX supercharger kit and adapting it for the k24 as I really want alot of torque and high end power but now I've stumbled upon a turbo kit that is super expenssive but probably the best turbo kit I have ever seen.

So should I go for some custom pistons and the NA route? I would really like to do this as I'm not too big a fan on force induction and all motor really is something I can brag about to the mustang guys.

Should I go supercharger as that is pretty rare and gives me alot of torque?

Or should I save up for two years and blow it all on the turbo kit? Mad turbo kit

Whatever happens I'm keeping my car for at least another five years so spending money is something I would be doing anyways so money is something I don't have to worry about as I will be saving it for parts.

Thanks a million!

RE: Now what?

I love the N/A route myself, however a 300whp N/A car would not be very streetable(at all really).

So I would go the turbo route, can make big power, and can still get decent gas mileage and be a daily driver.

The supercharger wine is pretty cool, just dont like the idea of taking power to make power when a turbo can make power for free lol.

RE: Now what?

haha true, I have just never liked turbos because of the lag.

Plus the K's respond really well to engine tuning as well. I could take the k24a2 head and put on a hondata with my exhaust and intake and easily make 230+ horsepower. That's why I would like NA because the K series is such a good motor to work with without having to cop out on a turbo kit.

Just my thoughts, that's why I've got this thread in the first place is for your opinion so thanks live2rice.

RE: Now what?

300whp is alot to ask for N/A(although it is my goal with my H).

The most a K has ever made N/A was 350whp, and that was with 15:1 compression and 90.5 bore

Yeah. Check nikos at k20a.org for contact info. He's selling K engines capable of pushing the 300 envelope. I think with what he gives you, its already at 260whp.
