P0301 code on my Honda Accord 1998
 

Hi Guys,
I have Honda Accord 1998 and few days back i got code P0401 and I removed the carb from intake manifold and also cleaned the EGR valve. Then after 20-30 miles of drive my ECL came up again and when I read the code it says P0301 code.

I got the code checked in Autozone and the guy told me the code would come up because of the carb present in the fuel injector and it would not be squirting good so he told me to put the LUCAS Oil Product Upper Cylinder Lubricant and Injector Cleaners.

So I have couple of questions,
1) The guys said that code is not hard one (or memoried one) and would go off in time. Will it?
2) I have no troubles like clicking, knocking, engine start.... nothing as of that sort, so can I reset the code?
3) Is there anything that I can check in order to see what else I can do to fix the P0301 code.

A P0301 is a misfire on cyl #1. When was the last tune up....cap, rotor, inspect wires, plugs?

And sorry but IMHO the advise you are getting is not correct. I can't think of the last time a dirty TB caused a 301 code.....dirty injectors is almost unheard of these days......again, my opinion.
