Problem with electric fans?? 2013 accord

Hey guys.
New to the site. Just picked up a 2013 accord sport with 63000kms. I'm not familiar with these cars so not sure if I have a problem or not. It seems BOTH fans run to often. As soon as I turn on the heating system ( not ac or defrost) both fans turn on for 5 seconds then turn off, then will do the same a few minutes later. The motor isn't hot either. It will continue to do this

Both fans turn on for a few seconds with the heating / cooling system turned off but doesn't seem to run as bad with the system turned on.

Any help would be appreciated

On earlier models, the ac compressor (and fans) would run whenever a defrost mode was selected. I would test all modes to see if fans run w/ ac compressor.

It is normal for fans to run anytime compressor is engaged.

good luck

Both fans run without ac on. With just the heat on with and vent on floor the fans with cycle off and on

Did some more investigating. When the car is set to "auto" on the heating/ cooling display the ac compressor will kick on with both fans for about 5 seconds and then turn off. It will do this cycle every 30 seconds or so with the heat on (floor vent)
With the "auto" feature off and the heat on floor the fans won't kick on as well as the compressor won't turn on. It will also say ac off on the display. So pretty much the auto feature cycles the fans and ac compressor when turned on?

There may be a fault in the temp setting or temp sensor leading AC to go on to cool when not needed. For instance a false high temperature.

You need to check for HVAC faults. See attached pages from 08-10 manual which may be helpful.

good luck

When "Auto" is selected the AC compressor is "in play" - so to me when the "auto" is selected the fans kicking in and out would be normal and nothing to worry about.
