rebuild of the f22b2

hey im getting a motor that has 130,000 mi.on it and wanted to rebuild it and stick it in my honda. where would be a good place to buysome good performance rebuild parts? id like to do some head work to it, maybe bore it out. the main thing i want that is definatly high quality is main and rod bearings forsure also head gasket and rings, the rings have to be very good. so what do ya think?

Are you gonna boost this motor or keep it N/A?

www.f22parts.com

www.bisimoto.com(I highly recommend this over f22parts.com)

www.importperformanceparts.net(Awesome site)

www.raceengineering.com (I might have it typed wrong, google it anyways)

www.ebay.com (can sometimes find stuff here)

if you have a 94 LX, you should already have an F22B2...

RE: rebuild of the f22b2

while rebuilding the motor i want to shave the head, "for a higher compression"- and port and polish both sides of the head and match the intake to it. im still debating the boost so im not sure about shaving the head, when i find out how much these parts will cost me im gonna decide about the boost and if i shave the head then decide later i want boost, i can take the other head and swap them so ill have the lower compression.

RE: rebuild of the f22b2

you could put in higher-compression pistons along with an H22 head to get about the same amount of hp as an H22...

RE: rebuild of the f22b2

why not the H22 head shaved down and port and polished with stock pistons?

Don't waste your time on the H22 head swap. It's a lot of work and hard to find parts. Just stick with rebuilding the F22B2, boost it.
