An H22 ecu will run it, but I would recommend getting a chipped ECU with a tune for an f20b.

Can't use an actual F20B ECU because its obd2 and has an immobilizer.

If a chipped ECU will check depends on if it is programmed to or not.

Are you not passing inspection just because the check engine light is on? If so just take the bulb out, you are OBD1 they won't know the difference.

I'm doing the same thing. So the first thing you need to do is get your self a p28 ecu and have it reprogrammed by Honda (it's only like 50 bucks) after that Then you need to chip it to be able to delete the VTEC oil pressure switch because your ecu will be looking for it but your f20b don't have it.

I don't know about the egr, I'm not that far yet. Lol

P.S. 1 602-339-0308 this is a company out of Phoenix Arizona they're called built by notorious. They do this kind of work all the time, and when I called them the just got done doing this same thing we are doing a week be for I called.

I've called them hundreds of time lol sometimes 3 or 4 times a day and they have been very patient and understanding. Love those guys.
