shift fork replacement

So tomorrow Bell Honda is going to replace the 3-4 shift fork in my accord to address the notchy issue in 3rd gear. I see the part is rather cheap (50 bucks or so). I was wonderin what kind of labor goes into it? I'm not payin for it, but still, I was curious. Anyone?

Automatic or manual accord? I'm assuming it's automatic if you've got a specific 3-4 shift fork since a manual has one shift fork (didn't look at your signature) but it's a full tranny removal and basic teardown. I'd guess it flat rates around 6-8 hours

I am officially an idiot sometimes..... I was thinking of the fork that holds your throw-out bearing. That shift fork is in the smaller area off the main "bell" of the tranny, he has to split the tranny as well as remove it.

hmmm.... I don't know that we need a vote since I declared it official on myself....However, we could start a poll about it and link to this thread, maybe give 4 opitions:
1) Officially Idiot
2)Occassionaly Idiot
3)Not an Idiot
4) Super Genius

6-8 hours. The transmission has to be removed from the car and disassembled.

that's quite a bit of labor. well, hopefully they will do it right. i suspect any mistakes on their part will be painfully obvious.
