Stop Light doesn't work Honda Accord 2000 EX 4 cyl.

I recently noticed that my stop light (break light) does not work when I stop my car. The stop light on my window works however. One of the tail lights is only a few months old. The signal lights and all the other lights seem to work fine. I called the Honda Dealership and they told me it is either bad bulbs, stop light switch or an electrical problem. I don't believe its a bad bulb because both of the lights went out and one of the lights is new. I'm thinking that it might be an electrical problem. I did have to replace my ECU earlier in the year. What is your take? Does anyone know a shop in Southern Brooklyn, NY that will check this out and fix it with little to know cost?

If the problem was a bad switch, then the center stop light wouldn't work either. So it's gotta be wiring somewhere "downstream" of where the center light splits off from the circuit.

Still, check to rule out bulbs. Just because the taillights work, doesn't mean the bulb is OK. It's got a completely separate filament (separate circuit) for the brake light.

I don't think the ECU is really involved in this circuit, so don't go blaming that.

I got my light replaced a couple of months ago, the shmuck never put in the Jumper box. I took it to a mechanic and he told me that I'm missing the Jumper Box, he said if you have the old light it should be still on it. Low and behold I kept the old light. I brought it back to him, it worked, he was shocked the stop lights lasted this long. It didn't cost much, only $25, but it was an additional $25 because the first mechanic didn't do the job right.
