I have a 1988 honda accord lxi, 5 spd and want to get rid of my muffler and put a straight pipe extension out the back, how can i do this?

im not sure why you'd ever want to get rid of the muffler, seeing that its gonna sound horrible, and not to mention illegal. but i guess your best option is too saw off the muffler and weld on an exhaust tip.

lol if you straight pipe your def gonna get pulled over, and your def gonna sound like a ricey farter with excessive chronic diarrhea

I have an 88 accord lx an i did that an if you dont mind the ricey noise it doesnt sound bad. I would recomend that you get a high flow cat but thats only if you live in a city where you dont have to pass some environmental tests. If you live where you have to pass envirronmental tests you cant do it. If your accord is fuel injected it sould sound pretty good. Mine is carb'd an its sounds good with no muffler. The one thing you dont want to do is take off your cat. Once you take that off it will sound like pure crap put through a blender.
