Tbelt & Wtr Pump rplcd -now problems

Hi guys yesterday my cousin and I replaced my timing belt and water pump on my 94 Accord Vtec. After we did every time I tried to start it when it was cold the engine would run really rough then start running smooth after a minute or so, also after letting the car sit and idle it began leaking oil from what looked like 1 of the seals. Any suggestions as to what might have happend or wht I need to do to fix this? Any and all help is appreciated thx!

Check engine crankshaft to camshaft timing is aligned, both at TDC together.

There are many seals that can leak. If valve cover seal is disturbed during timing belt, it's easy to get a leak.

Better description of oil leak necessary.

good luck

Ok so found and replaced front balance shaft seal, and made sure everything was in time, but now that it's all together when it's starts cold it'll run rough then when given gas will smooth out, also as I'm driving if I step on the gas it will pop and feel like it's missing. Any ideas?

Put a timing light on it and see what it says the timing is.

Can we assume the other normal maint items are all up to date - cap, rotor, plugs.

Well I also just replaced the plug wires & plugs and now the popping has progressed to all the time not just when I'm accelerating

Plug wire/s routed to wrong distributor terminal can cause this problem.

good luck

So my cousin put the plug wires on and one came off the distributer, put back on and there is still the miss but it isn't as bad. Also did a compression test on my cylinders and 1 was 120 and the rest were 150!
think my timing might still be off a little!
