Torque Convertor Question

I am planning on turbocharging my auto. 99 accord F23A1 and people have been telling me I might want to get a performance torque convertor. My question is, what are the advantages and disadvantages of getting one. Also, I can't find one anywhere (don't really know much about them) so if anyone can find one for me I would appreciate it.

RE: Torque Convertor Question

Your stall speed will be higher, that basically means you can run more power through the converter. You might also want to think about getting a lighter and stronger flywheel also......

Do you mean flex plate ?? if it has a torque convertor ( AT) it won't have a flywheel ( Manual )

RE: Torque Convertor Question

and it wont be stronger because of the higher stall... it will be stronger because its aftermarket...

and u do want a high stall so that u can spool ur turbo up on the line before u launch... making as much power as u can... i recomend a 3200 stall it keeps driveability and yet lets ya stall up high enough...
