Tutorial: replacing alternator in 03-07 accord V6s

I just installed a 260amp alt in my 03 accord for my audio equipment. i thought id do up a quick tutorial for those who dont know much about these cars because i found that the haynes manual contained a LOT of unneeded steps. furthermore, these being newer cars, there generally isnt a whole lot of info out on the web about them. i know i have trouble finding info for mine. and just to clarify, this is only for V6 accords years 03-07. sorry, no pix :). also, im not on this forum too often, so if you got any questions, PM me on caraudio.com, my username is fatryan. here goes...

NOTE: although its a different part number, alternators for 04/05 accords WILL work on 03 accords. the only difference is the location of the electrical connections. not a big deal, just gotta force them into place.

1. disconnect neg cable of battery
2. remove the coolant resevoir (1 bolt on engine side + the little hose)
3. unplug the 2 connectors on the left fan shroud (the lower one probably cant be disconnected until the shroud is loose)
4. unbolt and remove the shroud (2 bolts on top, 1 bolt underneath. the lower bolt can be accessed by removing the plastic cover underneath the car)
5. remove the bolt connecting the alternator wiring harness to the engine
6. unplug the electrical connector on the alt and also unbolt the alternator "output" wire
7. remove the drive belt (there are 2 small pullys in the center of the engine. the upper one is the belt tensioner. get a wrench on it and turn it counterclockwise to loosen the belt)
8. unbolt the alt (1 bolt in plain sight on top, the other is almost directly below it on the underside)
9. remove the alt (i had to use a crowbar. gently pry on the lower section of the alt where the lower bolt is)
NOTE: it may be necessary to do any or all of the following steps to literally remove the alt from the bay:
(a) loosen the bolt on the plate that the alt wiring harness was connected to (also where the upper alt bolt was) and rotate the plate
(b) remove the upper/left mount of the radiator (allows the radiator to move back about a centimeter)
(c) remove the plastic "3.0 VTEC" plate that covers the plugs and wires
10. installation is the reverse of removal :)
