Valve Noise

I have a 99' Accord LX with 132000 miles and i just did a valve adjustment on it (VTEC 2.3ltr). Is it normal to still have valve noise when the engine is cold? It is about 35-40 degrees where i live this time of year.

My 98 2.3 with 127000 is noisy as hell even when it warms up. I adjusted the valves and it still sounds exactly the same.

Yeah, when the motor is cold that is perfectly normal. You want some clearence so that when things warm up the valves aren't staying open. Plus it's freakin' cold where you are!

yea if its that cold then a little noise is normal.....maybe switch to a zero or 5 weight 'cold' oil if you havent already

i would just run 5w30 oil because my accord used to make the noise then i just started to use 5w30 oil and it doesnt make to noise as loud as it used to be, and im going on about 180,000 miles. and i live in utah and its cold as hell right now.
