What is this, where do you buy it and does it really boost performance by alot?

Vtec controller,is a vtec...controller..pointless,unless you have aftermarket internal mods, and a tune..and gains pretty much vary.depending on how your car is tuned.

I don't buy into the whole vtec control on a midrange vtec engine. F22 VTEC wasnt designed for power per say, and in my opinion isnt real vtec.

^^^^ if you get cams, you need to be able to tune, so you might want to think about that logic one more time.

LOL those are for racing only and not for street use. You will have crap gas millage and kill your motor if you drive daily with those.

Nah .... a Stage 2 cam is streetable, but the system needs to be tuned. The Apexi V-AFC systems allow VTEC adjustment in addition to AF tuning.

My Phase 2 build pipedream would include a Brian Crower Stage 2 turbo cam on the Dezod head.

Most of the time you lose power when you change your vtec points......I have a bud with a j series boosted on a dunebuggy and he was tuning his and only making 300 whp because he changed his engagement points and he changed it back to stock and ...WOW what a difference i wouldnt mess wit vtak unless a shop is tuning it

RE: Vtec Controller

Mine was tuned for AF. They left my VTEC settings as I set them myself. My total gain was 1.2 seconds shaved off of my 0-60 time.

The AF tuning on an IHE setup gives a very minimal gain, however VTEC control works if you are using a computer to do it. A dial control is pointless.

Also, there are about 5 different types of VTEC, so 1 has different effects than the next. A NA J30 really likes the VTEC to engage at 3200 and disengage at 2800. Setting it up is easy ..... too low and it boggs down, back off a little bit and you're good. The TPS trigger also improves the response time of the system since it s instantaneous.
