when does the clutch need to be replaced?
 
hey, im about to buy a 2001 accord EX 5 speed. It has 86k miles, i've looked through honda owner link website for the maintence schedule, however i can not find the interval for the recommended clutch replacement.

I have only owned like 5 cars and all of them had clutches. I don't really get into automatics. Just me though. I just drove until the clutches went normally around 125K!

Replace the clutch when needed. You'll know it because you'll push the throttle and the engine revs will increase, but the vehical speed doesn't.

replace the cluth when it slips. mine went out at around 180 thousand
