Will tsx mods fit???
 

Ok, so I have a 05 accord LX 5 speed which has a k24, the same engine as an acura TSX. So I know the tsx has a dual exhaust, but with the exception of that will the other engine mods fit my car?

Seems like most would work, but hard to make a blanket statement. The chassis is shorter, so exhaust won't exactly fit. The Accord engine bay is probably bigger, to accomodate the available V-6, so maybe intakes won't fit right either.

I take that back... I just looked & the intake LOOKS the same. You have an automatic? (manual is 6-speed.)

K24A4 vs K24A2 engine might be different in some subtle details. Can't really promise what specific things will or won't fit.

Not the same engine. Not sure the exact differences but I know the TSX runs higher compression and requires premium fuel. It has 200hp where yours has 160. They didn't gain that 40hp just from exhaust.
I doubt mods would fit without some sort of customization.

No, thats what I can't understand, I have a manual transmission but its only a 5 speed. I've never even heard of that and everyone that sees it is MAD confused.

2003-2009 Honda Accord with a 4cyl and manual trans = 5 speed
2003-2009 Honda Accord with a 6cyl and manual trans = 6 speed

People forget that the 4cyl manual trans still only has a 5 speed because they are used to seeing the 6cyl 6speed.

TSX = K24A2 and it has 10.5:1 compression
2003-2005 Accord = K24A4 and it has 9.7:1 compression

Not the same engine.
Will have a different camshaft, different intake manifold, and I'm sure a list of other things.

I found some Skunk2 camshafts and cam exaust gears that say they are made for k24A Honda/Acura. Do they actually make parts that fit all K24's?

I doubt it. You are going to need to look for a cam for a K24A2 if you want to be sure it will fit.

I found a bunch on ebay that say they fit 03+ tsx, 03+ accord, 03+ crv and 03+ element, but now you got me worried it won't fit lmao.

The k24a2's main difference is in the head. The head is completely different more or less. It has actual VTEC on both intake and exhaust where as your k24a4 has VTEC on just the intake, and isnt the high rpm power making VTEC the K24a2 has.

The 4cyl Accord was not offered in 6spd, it was only the v6 that came in the 6spd.

As for mods, you will want the Cams that are for the K20a3 I believe. It has a very similar head to the K24a4, and the cams are designed to work in both.

I am currently building a K24a4 block with a K20a2 head(almost identical to a K24a2 head). You would need to change pistons and rods to do this though as the accord ones wont work with the TSX head.
