just saw this one? Is this a fair price and is it a quality turbo kit?
New to the turbo idea :)

Its chinese made garbage. A quality turbo(just the turbo itself) will cost you more than $500. The ebay parts aren't terrible when its just the charge pipes and things like that but I would not skimp on the actual turbo itself.

Garrett is the brand to get when it comes to turbochargers.

as for the pipping and what not it doesnt really matter? just the turbo charger itself?

live2rice 11-21-2012 04:13 PM

The piping isnt that important to get name brand. But the turbo, BOV, waste gate, and manifold I wouldn't get the ebay garbage.

Thats great to know, and im sure the parts you names arent the cheapest things in a turbo build either?
Any suggestions and which i should look around for?

There is a ton of information out there on turbo kits. I would look for a Garrett T3/T4 turbo charger. Get a Greddy, HKS, Tial etc etc BOV and waste gate. There are a ton of fakes on ebay of these brand, so make sure its legit and not "HKS style".

The most important part of any turbo kit is the engine management.

I am by no means an expert on turbo chargers, but I know a thing or two.
