Default would like some advice

hey guys,
i have a 2001 accord lx coupe with the 4 cyl 2.3 f23a1 engine. I'm thinking about an engine swap but need some advice on what might be best at a reasonable cost. my buddy wants to see the f20c1 go in there, as would i, but i'm thinking it might be too expensive. now with the f20c1 im sure ill need new mounts but will i need to swap the tranni as well? i know i can do the h22 swap and others, but if you could help me find the most beneficial one that would be great. or if any of them would be really worth it.

thank you and i look forward to your feedback

go with a h22......
Doin a s2k engine swap is gonna be all custom work and huge headache....and not to mention the amount of money you are going to spend to make this work. Go with what has been proven and what works.

Yes your transmission will bolt right up. And I agree with g22, with a one of a kind swap like that you are looking as a long process involving tons of headaches and lots of money. Its one of those you kind of have to figure everything out for yourself and make the parts yourself. a H22 is cheap, effective, simple and will get you in the high 14s for a 1/4 mile.

Seems to me the gear ratios are different.

Trans will bolt up, but a Prelude 5-speed will have shorter gears more suited to the higher RPM of the H-engine. But you don't have to do it that way.
