"Buzzing" sound (ABS?)
Hi Guys and Gals,
I have a 2000 Honda Accord SE, and it has about 60K miles on it now.
Starting a couple of months ago, I have been noticinga "buzzing" sound.
This sound lasts about a second, and seems to originate from the left(driver's) side.
It happens a couple of seconds after I put the gear into "D" and start driving.
From what I've searched in the forum, it seems as though it is related with the ABS system.
(Found on this forum ---> My 97 Accord has been making the "buzzing" sound for many months, maybe years. I now know that it has most likely been the ABS pump re-pressurizing the ABS system.)
Is there any way that I can get this noise to go away (without taking it into the shop and spending money!!!)
Thanks in advance!

well first of all you need to figure out what the noise is exactly...
does noise only happen as you drive away ? or when car id put in gear and ready to drive away ?
can you duplicate the noise if a person puts the car in gear and foot on the brake+ e-brake
and you can listen with hood open to try to pinpoint its location ? ?? it could be the abs motor ..but
buzzing sound could also be coming from exhaust manifold heat shield ??

Don't take too much into that statement about the '97 Accord. Beginning in '98 the ABS system no longer has a hydraulic accumulator that needs to pump itself up when you start.
