Folks,

I have a 2001 Honda accord EX with about 75K mi on it. Today all of a sudden the car started acting up, jerking whiel accelerating and would suddenly go low on speed.

When I stopped the car and started it the check engine light came up and would not go off. I can't even drive the car now because it would not even move ahead smoothly.

Appreciate any advice on what I need to do, what problem this could be, any idea on costof repairs and any references to mechanics in the Northern VA area.

Can the car limp to an AutoZone-type place? Have them plug in their reader & tell us the actual error code number. The number is much more important than the guys explanation.
