RE: Autozone diagnostic readout help
Hi Killian, Welcome to the forums..
On that P0172 code ..that is a powertrain control module that uses the oxeygen sensor to calculate your air & fuel ratio of your engine. What is happening is that your computer has recognized a rich or perhaps a lean condition on your engine. To cut thru the small talk #1 get yourself a new Oxygen sensor and look for a ingnition missfire or a vacume leak and repair it soon. You are getting two codes so your MAF sensor is also suspect... Hope this helped you out... WheelBrokerAng |

RE: Autozone diagnostic readout help
He may be figuring that the map sensor code is an intermitent failure. When the O2 sensor failed the the too rich most likely occured. If it was the primary O2 sensor it would have been the Air/Fuel sensor. The MAP sensor code may have been a glitch and not a failure of the system. Make sure that they document the code and what they are doing about it so if it comes back they cannot refuse repair.

RE: Autozone diagnostic readout help
possibility is that if the MAP sensor is bad the ecu could be making the rich condition. To rich will burn out the O2 sensor. Thus the three codes are all related to one initial problem.
