02 Accord shifting mayhem
 

So went to get in my car this morning and right off the bat it was jumping and revving quite a bit before I got into second gear. Funny thing is that if I floored it and got it up to speed it started acting completely normal. Even when I got to a red light and came to a complete stop it would act like first and second gear were totally normal once I started moving again. When I stopped and put it in park and then back into D4 without turning it off it was completely fine. But when I turn off the ignition and start it again it does the exact same jumping revving thing. I've tried doing some research but can't find anybody who says it just goes back to normal once they get it past second gear. Please, any insights if you have any are greatly appreciated.

My first thought is you either have a low coolant level or the idle air control valve is starting to fail; from your description this has nothing to do with your transmission.
