02 sensor questions on 2000 EX V6

1 Attachment(s)
Replacing the original oxygen sensors on a 2000 EX V6 model. I don't work on my wife's car that often, so I'm not as familiar with part locations, as compared to my Nissan.

First Question:
There are only 2 02 sensors? The downstream one on/before the cat and the upstream one at the Y collector of the exhaust manifold.

Second Question:
Been searching and kind of confused about the sensors. I've read some posts that say there are "California" sensors, is that the case. I do live in Cali and have a California model. Do I need specific sensors or can I just go to Rock Auto and buy a Denso like I did for my Nissan?

Third Question:
Is the upstream sensor on the V6 easily accessible from the hood. For the life of me, I still can't seem to see it from the hood, if I am looking from the drivers side. I've searched, but I can't seem to find too much info on the V6 sensor location. I have this picture that I found, I assume its correct. Based on that it seems that its easier to get to from the bottom, as I swear I can't find it from the top.

Thanks in advance.

1. There are only 2 oxygen sensors. Primary on the Y collector and secondary on the cat.

2. I believe for the 2000-2002 Accord V6 there is no differentiation between the California and non-California models for the respective O2 sensors. The 1998-1999 Accord V6 for California models used a different secondary (rear) oxygen sensor than the non-California models. (The 1998-1999 Acccord V6 California models also used a different cat then non-Calif. models.)

You can buy from different vendors. Denso primary for 2000 Accord V6 is 36531-P8C-A11 or 36531-P8C-A21(newer). Denso secondary for 2000 V6 is 36531-P8C-L21.

3. Probably easier to access the primary O2 sensor from the bottom of the car.
